About Richelle

Hey there yogi,

My name is Richelle. I am an adventurer. I am a wanderer. I am a warrior.

I am a Métis woman who lives with intersectional privilege and oppression and grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba on the traditional homelands of  Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation. I continue to reside and teach in Winnipeg with hopes of expanding offerings to many other communities and regions within Manitoba and beyond.

I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher. I am trained in the styles of yin, restorative, vinyasa, hatha, and Bhatki yoga. I am a student of yoga and academics. I am a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts with an Advanced Major of Psychology and a Minor in Women and Gender Studies. I have studied many types of trauma informed practices across Turtle Island. I am also the creator of Bloom Yoga, a community-oriented company striving to offer yoga that is accessible for all. I have also co-created Inner Light Yoga, focusing on teaching others to led and share trauma informed practices within community for community healing and connection.

I am a believer in creating strong yoga practices that foster growth, healing, self-compassion, and resiliency. I believe that yoga is a personal journey about so much more than flexibility. Yoga is about healing your relationship with yourself, and I look forward to supporting this journey of reconnecting your body, mind, and spirit.

In darkness and in light,

Richelle Ready
